Definitive !...as are all of my SHM SACDs ,other hi res versions can still sound good,But in my opinion these issues are as close to what you could have expected to hear in the studio at the time they were made,the EQ is just right with,clarity,space etc ..now of course two very important parts of what they 'sound' like is what you play them on...and what youre expectations are. I play them on an Qppo 105 thru a pair of Mackie HR 824II s,with MIT cables,this is a well documented pro studio quality system(although NOT outrageously expensive) and hi res titles come alive..we are so lucky to have had band like this who put everything into making a good record.happy listening :-)

I compared this recording to the Blu-Ray Audio (24bit/96kHz) and the SACD sounds so much better! Now, I am not talking Blu-Ray vs. SACD here. The masters have to be different. The EQ is different. The SACD has clearer bass and the space of the individual sound sources in the mix is more defined. That is not a medium (SACD vs. Blu-Ray) difference. That's a re-master! However they did this it is just wonderful. If it just were multichannel... I would give it four stars instead of five for it being just a 2-channel SACD, but being that the sound is so exceptionally good I cannot drive myself to do that. I use simulated surround on it (with onmidirectional speakers and I am there!) Thank you!
I prefered to buy the platinum version instead this one and when i tried to buy this sacd it had disappeared from everywhere , and i know there are many people like me who are waiting for a reissue , please.
