By itself and as long as i now, every Dire Strait Album are pure audiophile recording masterpiece, but this one like " Love Over Gold " are one of my favorite albums of the band, so yeah it's sound amazing as good as the tape probably was, the song are already classic rock tune, so get yourself a favor and listen to those edition, much better than the european re relased on CD.

At my Marantz 8300PM and SA8003 sound is perfect. Clear, full bass, a lot of details. SHM-SACD offer greatest sound fidelity I know.
