クイーン結成50周年を記念して、長らく入手困難だったオリジナル・アルバム全15タイトルの【リミテッド・エディション】が、日本でのみ再発決定!! ■『戦慄の王女』(オリジナル発表年: 1973年): 当時のトレンドだったブリティッシュ・ハード・ロックのスタイルを踏襲しつつ、この時点ですでにクイーン以外の何者でもない個性を表現してみせたデビュー・アルバム。プロデュースはジョン・アンソニーとバンド自身に加え、のちにクイーン・サウンドのキーパーソンとなるロイ・トーマス・ベイカーが担当。"誰もシンセサイザーを演奏していない"という宣言は本作から明記されている。メンバーが固まった段階でデモ録音をはじめたバンドは、その後、1972年夏ごろから本格的なレコーディングに入り、1973年1月にアルバムを完成させた。リリースはそれからさらに約半年後だったこともあり、"クイーンの音楽の過去3年間の集大成である"という意味のコメントもクレジットされた。ボーナスEPには1971年12月にデ・レーン・リー・スタジオで録られた5曲の貴重なデモ音源と、1991年に発掘されたアウトテイク「マッド・ザ・スワイン」が収録されている。
