The sound of these (which could not be remastered) are just so so. I am not comparing to any other version since I don't have anything else to compare to. I am basing my opinion on the discs themselves. I have all 8 cd's in this collection. They are sound kind of boomy in the low end, ok midrange, acceptable high end. Nothing special. Cardboard Sleeve is great. Most discs do not have any inner sleeve, I am assuming the original album did not come with inners sleeves.
