great debut album from saxon produced by john verity in 1979, though this album did not pack the power the follow up did in 1980 this is still a long lost classic, since ive been a fan since 1981 i still never get tired of any of the songs on this record, backs to the wall, stallions of the highway, still fit to boogie and militia guard are classics and lets not forget frozen rainbow, this was a great start for a band that became pioneers of the nwobhm next to maiden, def leppard and motorhead, this saxon album is very very raw!!!!!!!!! also the shm mastering does wonders for it
