BEGINは「BEGINガジュマルベスト」というCD1枚による超厳選初心者向けベストをリリースしているが、今作はそれをさらに進化させた2枚組ベストアルバムとなる。まず手始めに聴きたい方には「ガジュマルベスト」、更にたくさん聴きたい方には「さにしゃんベスト」という棲み分けで、今後長きに渡り残っていく重要なアルバム。「BEGIN ガジュマルベスト」には収録されてない「国道508号線」「誓い」「イラヨイ月夜浜」「愛が走る」などの人気曲や、ここ数年配信でリリースした未CD化の楽曲「24-7のブルース」「黄昏」「粛々楽々」「ユガフ島 (2021Ver.)」も加えた全33曲を収録。またタイトルにある「さにしゃん」とは石垣島の方言で「うれしい」という意味。2025年3月に開催される日本武道館、大阪城ホール公演のタイトルも "BEGIN35周年記念公演『さにしゃんサンゴSHOW!!』" となっており、それと連動した、35周年のうれしい想いが詰め込まれた内容となっている。
