Directed by Sofia Coppola, who freshly depicted a sensitive girl's season in "Virgin Suicides". In this film, Sofia Coppola delicately depicts a tender and sad adult love story set in Tokyo that could be called a "modern-day version of 'Roman Holiday'" and won an Academy Award, proving her talent. Starring Bill Murray (Charlie's Angels, The Royal Tenenbaums) and Scarlett Johansson (The Girl with the Pearl Earring, Barber). Bob is a Hollywood star who has come to Japan to shoot a commercial for whiskey. He comes to Tokyo to get away from his wife, with whom he is having a hard time getting along, and for the $2 million paycheck he is offered. However, he feels increasingly alienated as he is surrounded by people he cannot communicate with because he cannot understand their language. Charlotte is a newlywed who comes to Japan with her photographer husband. But her husband is busy with work, and she is left alone in a hotel room with nowhere to go.... Two people with similar emotional voids meet by chance at the same hotel. They quickly become friends and go out into the dazzling neon lights and hustle and bustle of Tokyo....
