横山由依主演、連続テレビドラマ『はんなりギロリの頼子さん』がDVDで登場! ――世界有数の観光地・京都は、今日もたくさんの観光客で賑わっている。東京から京都に転勤してきたばかりの雑誌編集者の山田優一(中尾暢樹)は、タウン誌を担当することになった。ある日、道に迷っているフランス人夫婦に道案内をしようとするが、さらに迷わせてしまう羽目に・・・。近くにあるタバコ屋の店主・新堂頼子(横山由依)に助けを求めると、頼子は威嚇するようにギロリとこちらを睨みつけ、流暢なフランス語で案内してくれた。「フランス語は観光客を案内するうちに自然に身についた」と言う頼子。しかし、店の奥に、フランス語やスペイン語など外国語教材が山積みになっていたのだった。取材していくうちに、京都には古くからの文化や風習がたくさんある事を知る山田。次第に頼子とも打ち解けはじめ、京都人なのに京都弁を話さない頼子の意外な過去を知ることになる・・・。 ディレクターズカット版 第一話～第四話収録。特典ディスク(147分)には、ゆいはんカメラ(撮影密着メイキング映像)、ゆいはんのロケ地ぶらり・ビジュアルコメンタリー(#1)、スペシャル映像(0.5話「ドラマ現場へ初潜入」/1.5話「由依ちゃんが直撃インタビュー」/2.5話「通り数え歌講座」/3.5話「ランチ座談会」)を収録。
