アメリカの小さな漁村で実際に起きた女子高生集団妊娠騒動から着想した衝撃作!! ――開発工事の影響で漁業不振に陥っている田舎の小さな漁師町。不漁の影響で家庭が崩壊してしまった女子高生・真姫(寉岡萌希)に、開拓工事側で働く親をもつ孝子(佐藤玲)は後ろめたさを感じている。彼女たちのグループのリーダーである幸枝(武田梨奈)は明るく振舞い、ふたりの関係を取り持とうとしていた。ある朝、日課である浜の水質調査を行う少女たちの前に巨大な深海魚が現れる。気持ち悪くも美しい謎の深海魚「リュウグウノツカイ」―。この魚には「豊漁の兆候」「災いの予兆」という両極端な言い伝えがあった。そして3年前に上京した同級生・千里(樋井明日香)が町に戻ってくる。偶然のようで必然のような日々に得体の知れない不思議な衝動を感じた真姫は集団妊娠計画を思いつく―。閉ざされた環境を打開するため、自らの手で未来を切り開こうと奮闘する少女たちの物語。
