[追悼企画] 今年の4月26日に60歳で他界した女性シンガー・ソングライター、フィービ・スノウがCBSに残したオリジナル・アルバム4作品を初の紙ジャケ化。1974年のシェルター・レーベルからのデビュー作『Phoebe Snow』(邦題:サンフランシスコ・ベイ・ブルース)が、ビルボードのPOP、ブラック、JAZZの各チャートにラインクインし、プラチナム・ヒットを記録。その音楽性の高さで一躍注目を浴び、そのジャジー&フォーキーなヴォーカルの魅力から、「ブルースの妖精」のキャッチ・フレーズで人気を博した。本作は1976発表、CBS移籍第1弾となる2ndアルバム。フォーク、ジャズに根ざした彼女の素晴らしいヴォーカルが堪能できる名盤。前作に続き、ゴールド・ディスクを獲得。フィル・ラモーンのプロデュースのもと、ゴードン・エドワーズやスティーヴ・ガッド、リチャード・ティー、デヴィッド・サンボーン、ラルフ・マクドナルドら豪華ミュージシャンが参加。自作を中心にガーシュインからモータウン・サウンドをカヴァー。都会の憂愁ともいえる「ノー・リグレッツ」など名曲揃い。最新リマスタリング(2011年)。歌詞・対訳付き。
