昨年、初期5枚のアルバムをOriginal Mono&Stereo音源 + Bonus Track (Mono音源)という構成で紙ジャケ仕様でリリース、好評を博した。ソニーに残した後期アルバム6枚についても再発の要望が多く寄せられた。6作目以降はMono Albumを制作していないが、今回は97/00年のリマスター&リミックスではなく、オリジナル盤発売当時のマスターを使用し、さらにMono音源を含む、Bonus Trackを可能な限り収録という構成を予定。既にアルバムを持っているファンにもアピールできる充実の内容。 ■ 9th となる『タイトルのないアルバム』(1970年)はザ・バーズにとって初の2枚組アルバム。ライヴ・レコーディングとスタジオ・レコーディングからなる変則的な作品。しかしながら音楽評論家およびファンの間では後期ザ・バーズの最高傑作との呼び声も高い。ライヴ・サイドで圧巻なのがアナログ一面を使ってのインプロヴィゼーション溢れる「霧の8マイル」の名演だろう。スタジオ・サイドも未完に終わったロック・ミュージカル"ジーン・トリップ"からの名曲「栗毛の雌馬」をはじめ素晴らしいナンバーばかりだ。全米アルバムチャート第40位、全英第11位。 ★完全生産限定盤 / Blu-spec CD2 / 解説歌詞対訳付 / 紙ジャケット / オリジナル発売日: 1970年
