ジョン・ウェズリー・ハーディング [Blu-spec CD] [完全限定生産] / ボブ・ディラン
ボブ・ディランの1968年作品。『ブロンド・オン・ブロンド』を発表直後、バイク事故を起こし瀕死の重傷を負ったディランは、静養も兼ねウッドストックに引き篭もった。旺盛な制作意欲を持つ二十代半ばに起きたこの出来事はディランに大きな影響を及ぼした。約二年ぶりの発表となった本作で描かれた詩の世界は、より短く簡潔になり深みを増しましたが、大きく異なったのはフォーク・ロック・スタイルからシンプルなアコースティック・サウンドとなった事。前作同様ナッシュビルでのレコーディング。ディランのアコースティック・ギターにベース、ドラムという3人編成が基本で、チャーリー・マッコイ、ケニー・バトレー、ピート・ドレイクらが参加している。ジミ・ヘンドリックスの名演で知られる「見張塔からずっと」収録。 解説・歌詞・対訳付。
