Mcdonald & Giles In SHM-CD Artwork Magnet [SHM-CD]

The artwork tells the true story behind the departure from King Crimson. A classic album that has continued to be listened to by progressive rock fans since its release as a counterpart to "In the Wake of Poseidon" returns once again. This special version includes two artwork magnets, one for the Giles couple and one for the McDonald couple. This is the only album by the duo formed by Ian McDonald and Michael Giles, who left King Crimson in December 1969 immediately after the band's first US tour. The graceful jazz rock sound created by McDonald, whose personality was the source of the lyrical character of the original Crimson, and Giles, who possessed a unique and highly distinctive drumming style, has continued to be heard to this day as a counterpart to "In the Wake of Poseidon", released in the same year. The artwork, depicting the two musicians together with their respective partners, eloquently tells the story that they chose love over the success of the band as the reason for their departure. This release is also a special edition in the second series of packages that include artwork magnets. Normally only one magnet sheet is included, but because the artwork for this release is incomplete without both the front and back, two sheets are included.
