Description

[Machine Translation] DVD version of the drama "Aoitori (Blue Bird)" aired from October to December 1997 on TBS. A sad story written by Edogawa Rampo Award-winning writer, Hisashi Nozawa. The story is about an unforgivable love between Rimori (Etsushi Toyokawa), a station attendant in a small country town, and Kaori (Yui Natsukawa), the wife of the heiress of a powerful man in that town. Together with Kaori's daughter (Anne Suzuki), the three set off on a journey in search of a little happiness. After one year of preparation and six months of shooting, the film was shot on location from Hokkaido to Kagoshima in a road movie style across the country. This blockbuster hit brings out the best in lead actor Etsushi Toyokawa and will make you cry. Includes episode 11 and video extras.
