"CLASSICS & HARMONY" / T-SQUARE meets New Japan Philharmonic

T-SQUARE and the New Japan Philharmonic first performed together on August 13, 1993, at Bunkamura Orchard Hall in Tokyo. Since then, 33 years have passed, and so much time has gone by that none of the original members remain in either the band or the orchestra. The score was rediscovered with the help of Keiichi Oku, who handled conducting and arrangement at the time, and has been refined and updated for the present day. To commemorate this collaboration with the current lineup of T-SQUARE, the complete version of this performance is now released. The recording features a wide range of richly colored performances, including a live orchestral rendition of "MOON OVER THE CASTLE", the theme of GT7 known for its pipe organ introduction, as well as new approaches and performance scenes not found in past T-SQUARE works. Because T-SQUARE's music is strongly melody-driven, Keiichi Oku's rich and versatile orchestration further enhances its value, transforming it into a new artistic musical world. The performance by T-SQUARE and the New Japan Philharmonic is truly outstanding. Conducted by Taizo Takemoto, orchestral arrangement by Keiichi Oku, and pipe organ performed by Yuka Mangeol-Ishikawa.
