Wasurenagusa [Regular Edition]

Well here is the second release from Sony?s new artist Piko. Following on from his debut single ?Story? is ?For-get-me-not?, another melodic rock ballad that is the perfect showcase for Piko?s wailing vocals. Again Piko?s voice is stunning to listen to on this track showing both its potential power and sensitivity all in one hit, although perhaps this track isn?t as memorable as ?Story?. Again as with his first single you get two further tracks, the first (sorry but I don?t know it?s Romanised name ^_^) is a cutesy number complete with softer vocals and a tinkling chorus. This song really isn?t to my liking as it sounds a little dated and doesn?t pack the same punch as his other songs. The third track is called Stardust and is written by Piko himself!!! Despite its sweet name this is a much stronger song than track 2. I love the changes from the laid back guitars on the verse to the more frantic tempo on the chorus and Piko sings a little deeper showing the full range of his voice. The bonus DVD comes with three live tracks performed over the summer. Piko certainly knows how to work his audience and has a voice that delivers a wonderful performance on a live stage. I hope Piko gets more recognition for his talent in 2011 and I can?t wait for the release of his first album!!! Piko is definitely one of the most promising, talented and interesting artists in the Japanese pop industry today!!!
