I was originally looking for shine then I found daybreak's bell from the anime op, I just fall in love!

CD insert is 10.

neolog 33th single - Daybreaks Bell 4

33th single released, this comes with Daybreak's Bell as A track and Natsuu no Yuutsu[SEA IN BLOOD 2007] as B track.
A track was used as theme song for Gundam 00 and the song is about war and it's consequences. The instrumental part is simply amazing specially the drums. Ken did a great job creating such hard yet ear-friendly pattern for Yukihiro to play and Yuki did a great job playing those so tidily. IMHO the drums are the best part of this song though every instrument is essential to make this song what it is. Piano, drums, bass, guitar and vocal, none is dispensable since each one adds one little detail here and there that makes this song pretty amazing. The piano on this song also gives a great touch.

Track B is the P'unk~en~Ciel version of Natsu no Yuutsu, a classic from L'arc. Personally I think it could be better. It's not so musical, most of the original melody and harmony was lost. Actually, it looks like they simply took the melody line for the vocal and redid the whole arrangement from scratch. The original version has a "sad" atmosphere but the punk version feels like noise when compared.

4/5 rating due to track B but still a great single to listen.

Just like the previous single, DAYBREAK'S BELL is a very beautiful song, and it's the theme song for Gundam 00. Love it!

Good song of L'Arc but I don't like Punk~en~Ciel tracks...It would better if they add in B Side a real new L'Arc's song instead of a Punk remix...it's boring

Good cd. 4

Love Daybreak's bell. This cd came with that & its instrumental version. The other song on the cd was alright but it's not a style that I generally dig. Bought it only for Daybreak's bell. The album cover is beautiful as well and it came with a gundam sticker. Happiness.

Nice song! 5

This is a very nice song, but i must say that it really sounds like an anime intro. Of course Hyde's voice is always awesome, so that's the only thing that makes me listen to this song over and over. The first press is very kawaii, i got a Gundam sticker, a character card, and i got Hyde's waku-paper! they're such nice presents, thanks Laruku!!! ^^

Daybreak's Bell l'arc en ciel 4

Really like this single, in fact this is my first laruku single. Daybreak's bell is the opening theme for Gundam 00. If you're a Gundam die-hard-fans, grab this single.

Breaking Gundam schemes... 5

This single is really pretty. The jacket has a very powerful meaning and matches perfectly with the song itself. It's really the type of song L'Arc usually give us, with slight chords that make you remmeber old L'Arc songs. It also breaks the common scheme for Gundam songs... it was great to hear something less "electronic".
Side-b by P'UNK-EN-CIEL this time is Natsu no Yuutsu [Sea in blood 2007], a remake of Natsu no Yuutsu (not the time to say goodbye version) from 1995 album "heavenly". The arrangements were made by HYDE P'UNK. It has all that power from the punk era, very stong chordes and fast movements. I really like it, but I think tetsu's voice didn't have the power needed to match it.

It's a good single, beautifully made.

I've received the single today and my papercraft is Yukihiro ^^!

2007 released singles from L'Arc have been so freak! Their bonus, their covers... I love them!

But I'm a bit disappointed with this single. Daybreak's bell (the song and the pv) is one of the best songs of the group but the punk version of Natsu no yuutsu is... well, I don't like it!

Amazing 5

I'm rating this purely on the A-side since I'm not a fan of the Punk songs at all. DAYBREAK'S BELL is absolutely astounding. It's definitely, imo, their best release so far this year. The music, the lyrics, Hyde's voice - everything is just perfect. They really outdid themselves with this song and I can't wait until the next one + their new album.
