約2年振りとなる本作は、HYの新たな音楽性を示した1枚。スタイルにとらわれないHYが、11年目に出した答えは、過去を壊して前に進むこと。もちろんHYらしい等身大の飾らない歌詞や、深みを増した繋がり=絆への思いなどを柱にしつつ、バンドアレンジにこだわることなく音楽を遊びきる、彼ららしい姿を作品に仕上げた。収録曲も『PARADE』の名のままに、「ガジュマルビート」の軽快なビートで始まり、地元愛を歌った「カチャーシーエヴリデイ」、100%の直球ソング「I LOVE YOU」、初期10代の頃を彷彿とするがむしゃらな「KNOCK」、仲宗根泉のバラード「私のHERO」はウエディングベルで始まる初の幸福恋愛ソングなど、色とりどりの言葉と音色が飛び出してくる。さらに、全都道府県162本"HY MACHIKANTY SO-TANDOH TOUR 2010-2011"で約7万人のシンガー(=仲間)のコーラスを収録した「卒業」も収録。今作にHYが込め、そして生まれてきた"生命力"の数々が、"PARADE"のように繰り出す力強さを放ちながら、1作のアルバムを作り上げている。
