植草ひろみ&早川りさこ: お互いの父親同士が高校の同級生であった事から、幼少より家族ぐるみの付き合いをし、同じピアノの先生の元で学ぶ。その後それぞれチェロとハープの道を歩み始め、東京藝術大学附属音楽高校、同大学に同級生として進み、留学先もアメリカを選びルームシェアをしながら研鑽を積んだ。高校生のころから、機会あるごとに幼なじみデュオとして演奏、プロの演奏家になってからも定期的に数多くのデュオコンサートを重ねて来た。二人の演奏は、植草ひろみのCD『いつかの美しい日のように』、またハイレゾ配信アルバム第1弾の"植草ひろみ&早川りさこ"『Song of the heart』にも収められている。今回のアルバムタイトル『Sound of the Sky』は、2009年と2011年に行った二人のコンサートシリーズのもので、ジャケットはそのコンサートの時に唐沢静氏が2人のために描いた絵である。
