ソ連国政に異を唱え、亡命したベラルーシ生まれの作曲家ルリエ。ドイツ、フランスを経てアメリカに行き、ストラヴィンスキーの影響を強く受けた作品を多く書いた。ソ連国内では長らく彼の作品の演奏・出版が禁じられていたが、21世紀になってようやく復興が始まった。コウクルによる第2集のアルバムには、様々な小品が収録されている。1910年代の作品は、魅惑的な響きを持つ「シンセシズ」、表現的なタイトルを持つ「子供部屋のピアノ」とスクリャービンの影響が感じられるが、1920年代から1930年代の作品は彼の友人のために作曲されたものが多く、比較的親しみやすい曲調を持っている。第1集と同じく、フランス、スペインの作品を得意とするジョルジオ・コウクルの表情豊かな演奏。2016年録音。
