前作から約2年ぶりとなるオリジナル・アルバム。2006年夏から始まった"美里祭り"第1回のテーマソング「おねがい太陽～夏のキセキ～」、TX系『田舎に泊まろう!』エンディングテーマ「青い鳥」、劇場版アニメ『ケロロ軍曹2』主題歌「その手をつないで」といった3枚のシングルに加え、名鉄不動産CMソング「KISS & CRY」を収録。作家陣には、これまでも数々の大ヒット曲を共に生み出してきた伊秩弘将をはじめ、美里バンドのバンドマスターであり、アレンジも多数手掛ける有賀啓雄、数々のアーティストのヒット曲を手掛ける川村結花、渡辺美里のライブメンバーとしても活躍中の斉藤有太、新進気鋭の作曲家 近藤薫に桑村達人が参加。さらに今回はじめてセッションとなる、渡辺善太郎によるアレンジ曲などとにかく豪華! 渡辺美里による歌と言葉が光を与え、まさに夏の夜空に輝く星座のような全12曲。
