I had the Quad pressing back in the day, but what they have done to this new mix is incredible. The dynamics and separation is fantastic. It's like being front row in Jeff's head. This new 5.1 mix takes you on familiar journey by way of a new path.

[Details] SACD used the DSD master digitally translated from the original "Quadraphonic" master. And Japanese edition upgraded it to 5.1ch version. Comes with a double-sided obi, each side featuring obis (White/Blue) of Japanese LPs (first pressing / reissue).
Also comes with a "Iron Sticker," which was included in the Japanese first pressing LP, and an ad poster. Faithfully replicates the artwork of the original "Quadraphonic" LP design (logo and fold label).
Includes an inner bag, a description about "Quadraphonic" mix, and the original liner notes.

Probably Jeff's best album of that period. A great edition, with an amazing sound. I consider it a great success to possess this issue. I recommend!
This beautifully packaged hybrid SACD contains the original Quadraphonic mix (adapted to 5.1), but be cautioned, that, from the start (for unknown reasons), the song "Sophie" was a stereo to quadraphonic upmix. The other 7 songs are true quadraphonic.
