若松孝二監督による初の一般映画であり、シビれる名パンチライン(台詞)が炸裂する内田裕也映画の基本中の基本にして"最重要ロッケンロールムービー!" ――男は地下鉄の駅員。仕事はキップ切りに駅の掃除ばかり、家に帰ればヤケに太って口うるさい女房、毎日クソ面白くもないゼ。雨の夜、若い男2人に暴行されていた若い女を助けてやった。退屈な毎日は変わらないゼ。酒場でヤクザとケンカし右手を怪我した。その帰りに不思議な少女に出会った。クソな毎日は変わらないゼ。なにもかもうまくいかない。いつまでこんな毎日が続くんだ。無力、焦り、渇き・・・ある日、家族とピクニックに行った男は衝撃的な光景を目撃する。それは男の中で何かがはじけるきっかけとなった。そして男は"生"を輝かせるために闇夜に翔ぶ――。
