This is a really cool album that should appeal to anyone interested in P-Model's techno line-ups. It's somewhat similar in style to the first Kaku P-Model album, which I think is most similar to ENOLA/Music Industrial Wastes era P-Model. This time around though Kaku P-Model has a more bouncy, playful feel reminiscent of No Room/Big Body era P-Model. There is even a guest appearance from the original P-Model/Mandrake keyboardist on the second track which would definitely sound at home on one of their early techno releases due to it's wacky, manic energy. Susumu was almost 60 years old when he released this album but you wouldn't guess that when listening to it. Gipnoza features a Hirasawa who is as inspired, inventive and energetic as ever. With this album he has successfully managed to continue moving forward while also paying tribute to his much beloved past. Fans of P-Model will not be disappointed.
