聴けば聴くほど謎めく花園。ヒラサワ・ポップは説明不可能。他の追随を許さない孤高の音楽使い平沢進12作目のオリジナルアルバム。予定通りの新境地で登場。平沢曲のポップさが際立つタイトル曲「現象の花の秘密」をはじめ、度胆を抜く超絶歌唱の「冠毛種子の大群」、電子音と弦楽器の妖しい融和「華の影」など。全て本人の作詞・作曲・アレンジ。テクノポップバンドP-MODELでデビュー後、現在は主にソロ活動を行う。活動歴33年、もはや孤高の地位を確立。エレクトロサウンドと壮大なオーケストレーションに、変幻自在な歌声が溶け合う、他に類のない独自の曲調で、ジャンル分けは不可能。現時点ではオリジナルアルバムリリースと並行して、劇場アニメ「ベルセルク」の主題曲「Aria」も発売されている。
