[Machine Translation] Sekaiichi" is a rock band formed in Osaka in March 2003, and made their major label debut in 2005 with the release of "Ishi Korobu" from Toys Factory. In 2010, they moved to avex, and in 2014, they launched their own label, Anaheim Records. Sekaiichi has released seven singles, three mini-albums, and seven albums, and the breadth of their musicality changes with each release. The image of Sekaiichi, which is often perceived as disparate, is now firmly bound together by Iwasaki's songs and the band's live groove, establishing "Sekaiichi" as a genre. The current album by Sekaiichi is a "danceable funk rock" album, featuring "Grave of Music" and "Walk alone" from the single "Grave of Music," which was pre-released at the venue of their one-man tour at the end of 2015, as well as 16 beats of mid-tempo music. The sharp vocals of Iwasaki, driven by the swell and speed of the mid-tempo 16 beats, recall the disco music of the 80s updated for the modern age. 「セカイイチ」は2003年3月、大阪にて結成したロックバンド。2005年トイズファクトリーより『石コロブ』をリリースし、メジャーデビューを果たす。その後2010年にavexに移籍し、2014年には自身のレーベル『Anaheim Records(アナハイム・レコーズ)』を立ち上げた。セカイイチはこれまでシングル7枚、ミニアルバム3枚、アルバム7枚をリリースしており、その音楽性の幅広さによって、1作ごとにその表情を変えている。ともすればバラバラに捉えられがちなイメージは、岩崎の歌とバンドのライブ感に満ちたグルーヴでしっかりと束ねられ、ジャンルとしての「セカイイチ」を確立しつつある。そんなセカイイチの今作は”踊れるFunk Rock”。2015年末のワンマンツアーの会場で先行リリースされたシングル『Grave of Music』に収録された、『Grave of Music』、『Walk alone』を始め、ミドルテンポの16ビート特有のうねりと疾走感に後押しされた岩崎のキレのあるボーカルは、現代にアップデートされた80年代のディスコミュージックを想起させる。ライブバンドとして定評のあるセカイイチだからこそ表現できる、歌とビートの共存した”身も心も踊らせる作品”となった。Official site >> http://sekaiichi.jp
