Quill

A simple, touching true story about how Quill was raised and trained to fulfill his destiny as a seeing-eye dog. His relationship with his first foster parents was a short but lasting one. They gave him his first playmate, the squirking bear, whom he met again when returned to them at retirement. But the focus of the story was between him and his blind master, Mr. Watanabe. No drama, no special effect but the movie successfully pictured the special ties between Quill and Watanabe. If you own or have owned a pet before, then you would understand how he felt to part with Quill.

A great and touching story about the life of a seeing-eye dog. Not every dog can be a seeing-eye dog and the story of Quill shows how he is picked by a trainer and then later becomes a seeing-eye dog for a reluctant blind man.

This is a wonderful story about a dog, a man, and the learning experiences they go through. English speakers, may want to turn off the audio assistance, though it can be useful for learning Japanese since it describes what is happening. I really liked watching this movie. It made me laugh and it made me cry too. I am happy to have it in my collection, and I like to share it with other people who love dogs. It shows how a dog can be more than just a pet.
