Hans Christian Andersen's beautiful yet fleeting fairy tale "The Little Mermaid." A brand-new original animated feature inspired by that story is born here! Set in the near future, this is a chaotic and miraculous love story between Stefan, a young human man, and Chao, the princess of the mermaid kingdom. You cannot help but root for Stefan as he stands up to fate, and for Chao as she continues to love him with unwavering devotion. Animation production is handled by STUDIO4C, renowned worldwide for high-quality visuals and distinctive imagery, and the recipient of numerous awards in Japan and abroad. The main cast includes Oji Suzuka, known for the hit drama "silent" and the Netflix series "From Me to You," and also active as an exclusive model for "MEN'S NON-NO," and Anna Yamada, who has appeared in the "Golden Kamuy" film and drama series as well as the film "Shoutai," and in 2024 received the Japan Academy Film Prize for Outstanding Supporting Actress and the Newcomer of the Year Award. In addition, the characters surrounding Stefan and Chao are voiced by Ryota Yamasato, Kavka Shishido, Yuichiro Umehara, Kenta Miyake, Shunsei Ota (OCTPATH), Anna Tsuchiya, and Kukki!. In a future society where humans and mermaids coexist, Stefan, a salaryman working for a shipbuilding company, is suddenly proposed to by Chao, the princess of the mermaid kingdom. The unprecedented proposal spreads around the world in the blink of an eye, and their marriage is promoted as a way to establish friendly relations between humans and mermaids. Not even understanding why he was chosen, Stefan goes along with those around him and ends up agreeing to marry her. Living with Chao, who is not used to the human world, becomes a nonstop series of heart-pounding moments. However, as Stefan receives Chao's pure and straightforward love, he gradually begins to develop warm feelings as well. Where will their romance lead?
