EMOTION BIG JACKET COLLECTION Final Yamato

The second EMOTION BIG JACKET COLLECTION features five classic theatrical "Space Battleship Yamato" films in 32cm x 32cm big jacket editions. This volume presents "Final Yamato." Slowly but surely, it was drawing near Earth - the water planet Aquarius. From the far reaches of space, following an immense super-elliptical orbit, Aquarius approached our home planet, though humanity remained unaware of this fact. In AD 2203, yet another threat is about to begin. At the same time, a great anomaly occurs within our own galaxy: a mysterious nebula suddenly emerges from hyperspace and collides with the Milky Way. In the galactic core, stars crash into one another and collapse one after another. Detecting this phenomenon, Earth Defense Headquarters dispatches the Yamato toward the galactic center for investigation. Video extras include Teaser, Theatrical Trailer, and "Sound Poetry YAMATO" Vol. 12-13, a mini-story composed solely of the sound effects used in "Space Battleship Yamato" (composition: Mitsuru Kashiwabara). Still-image extras include excerpts from the original theatrical pamphlet. Additional features include presentation in a dynamic scope-size (CinemaScope) format, with the main feature content identical to the DVD edition, as well as the inclusion of the "Susumu Kodai and Yuki Mori scene" from the film's initial theatrical release.
