[Machine Translation] Penkiel ( c. Unknown-1666) was one of Poland's leading composers of the Baroque period. Some of his works, supported by splendid polyphony, are preserved in the library of the University of Uppsala and are useful for the study of Polish music of the period; as in the first collection released in 2016, conductor Andrzej Kosenjak has done his best to revive these unknown works. The performance of the "Missa Paschalis," derived from the old Palestinian polyphonic chorus, and the Mass in dialogue between two groups of singers, are also based on research into the performance methods of the time. Recorded in 2016.

バロック期のポーランドを代表する作曲家の一人、ペンキェル (不祥-1666頃)。見事なポリフォニーに支えられた彼の作品のいくつかは、ウプサラ大学の図書館に保存されており、当時のポーランド音楽を研究するために役立っている。2016年に発売された第1集と同じく、指揮者アンジェイ・コセンジャクが知られざる作品の復興に力を尽くした。古いパレスチナの多声合唱に由来する「ミサ・パスカリス」や、2つの歌い手のグループの対話によるミサなど、当時の演奏法も研究の上に演奏されている。カノンやフーガはペンキェルと同世代の作曲家、マルコ・スカッキによる論文に添付されていたもので、実際に演奏されるためのものではないという研究結果も興味深いもの。2016年録音。
