This two-disc set features piano works performed by French pianist (and composer) Stany David Lasry in 1995 and 1996. The performances are performed on pianos made by Erard in 1921 and 1874, and reproduce the beautiful sounds that Debussy himself would have heard. The sound of the 1874 Erard piano used on CD2 is especially beautiful. The well-preserved instrument produces a soft and mellow sound that has matured over more than a century.

ドビュッシー没後100年にあたる2018年。ARCANAレーベルに眠っていた"ドビュッシーの名演"に光を当てるための過去の名演復活シリーズ。この2枚組は1995年と1996年にフランスのピアニスト(作曲家としても知られる)、スタニー・ダヴィッド・ラスリーが演奏したピアノ作品集。演奏には1921年と1874年に作られたエラールのピアノが用いられており、ドビュッシー自身も耳にしていたであろう美しい響きが再現されています。とりわけCD2で使われた1874年製のエラールの音色が聴きもの。保存状態の良い楽器が紡ぎ出す、1世紀以上の年月を経て熟成された柔らかくまろやかな響きを堪能できます。
