ある音楽誌では現在の音楽シーンを紐解くキーワードとして「バンアパ以前、バンアパ以後」と表現される程、その音楽性はパイオニアとして多くのフォロアーを生み出してきたthe band apart。刻一刻と変化する音楽シーンの中でも、周りの状況に迎合することなく、自らの求めるサウンドを追求して来た彼らの5枚目となるオリジナル・フルアルバムが完成した。2010年はミニアルバムのリリースを皮切りに、2回の全国ワンマンツアー、夏フェス、各種イベントへの参加と精力的にライブ活動を行い、昨年末のツアーではライブ会場限定でニュー・シングルを発売する等、これまでのスタンスに捕われず、攻撃的に活動の幅を拡げて来た。前作から約1年という短いスパンの中でも、凝縮されたバンド活動から生み出された、全て新曲となる全14曲の珠玉の名曲群は、良い意味で、既存のthe band apartサウンドに対するイメージを裏切るものとなるだろう。
