活動開始から20周年を迎えたemmuréeのオールタイム・ベスト。リリース音源には初収録となる活動初期の定番曲「メリーゴーランド」や、現編成で再録音された代表曲「楽園」などの再録音源5曲を含む、全15曲を収録。<プロフィール>emmuréeVocal:想Guitar:ハルカBass:朋1998年、ハルカ、想により「dark & sharp」というコンセプトの下に結成。1999年よりライブ活動を開始。80年代後半から90年代前半頃の日本のundergroundシーンに強く影響を受ける。時に繊細に、時に絶唱する想の確かな歌唱力と表現力、掻きむしり、叩きつけるかの如く奏でられるハルカのギター、それらを感情の蠢きのように支えるリズム隊、黒でも白でもない、灰色の感情で満たされる世界。ライブではその感情が、フロアを侵食するようにオーディエンスの揺らぎとなり広がってゆく。結成当初から、コンセプト、音楽性等、バンドのスタイルは一貫して変わる事なく、今年活動開始から20年を迎えたが、円熟味を増したそのダークさには不思議な暖かみのようなものを宿らせているように感じられる。
