伝説の剣戟バイオレンスアクションが帰ってきた。2011年にオリジナルアニメとして発表された「BLOOD-C」が実写映画として復活。これまでのBLOODシリーズと同じく"少女・小夜が日本刀で戦う"という設定は踏襲し、完全オリジナルストーリーとして生み出された今作。物語は軍事政権下、戦前の日本。赤狩りと称して横暴を極める特高警察。蹂躙される村の住民たちとの間で始まる抗争、そこに見え隠れする"古きもの"の影と、それを狩るために現れる制服の少女、小夜―――因果の渦が巻く寒村の中心で、宿命に翻弄される姉弟を演じるのは舞台「攻殻機動隊ARISE」で草薙素子役を演じた青野楓と、舞台「英雄伝説 閃の軌跡」や舞台「戦国BASARA」などで主演を務める松村龍之介。脚本には「BLOODシリーズ」第1作から携わっている藤咲淳一、監督は舞台「BLOOD-C The LAST MIND」の演出を務めた奥秀太郎。その他、宮原華音、古田新太、手塚とおる、田中要次、坂井真紀、水野美紀、銀粉蝶、八神蓮、郷本直也、滝川英治、友常勇気、南圭介が出演。神に見捨てられた地で、生き残るのは誰だ?
