The bristles of this brush are so soft, as one should expect from a Canadian squirre hairl. However, the craftmanship of the handle leaves something to be desired. The black handle's lacquering is not totally seamless. There's a thin red lacquer around the tip of the wooden handle near the ferrule. The ferrule has a slight vertical dent on one side. Compared to my white Canadian echizen set, this brush's craftmanship is somewhat inferior.
The handle is exactly like the Red Squirrel Blush Brush, but the hairs are different. This one has not had the tips trimmed. It is actually not as soft as the Red Squirrel Blush brush, but the difference is minuscule. It is actually better for blending the highly pigmented blushes I use. But both the Canadian and Red Squirrel brushes are AWESOME! If you can handle the price, this brush is SO worth it!
