Interestingly, this was one of the first SHM-CDs in this series to become sold out. I had to purchase it from Amazon. Anyway, on to my review. First off, this is NOT an audiophile review. I am reviewing this release from a purely aesthetic point of view. This PAST MASTERS - VOLUMES ONE & TWO mini LP SHM-CD is excellent! The laminated mini LP cover, and gatefold jacket are very well done. As the IN MONO box featured a Mono Masters set, and the 2009 was simply titled PAST MASTERS, this is a completely unique CD amalgamation of original 1988 albums of PAST MASTERS VOLUME 1 and PAST MASTERS VOLUME 2. The one flaw many of the mini LPs in this set unfortunately feature is not an issue with this release. The title on the spine is flawless. This encore release features a resealable outer sleeve with a blue sticker (as opposed to the 1st pressing red sticker), a nice OBI, the 2009 booklet identical to the one released with the digipak version of PAST MASTERS, and an additional booklet with song lyrics in English. Also included are rice paper sleeves and white inner sleeves to house the discs themselves. The discs feature reproduced PARLOPHONE labels. This is an excellent collectable!
