Homura quickly became one of my favorite bands after I bought this CD. The vocalist's voice is unique, and that sort of thing is what really gets me hooked on a band. They are very easy to fall in love with, and you'll become hooked.

遂にリリースされる焔の3rd Maxi Single。一部の色を失った色、錆びついてしまった色という意味を込めて創り上げた近作は「哀愁」のイメージの強い彼らがその「哀愁」をとことん突き詰めた作品となっている。 また、活動からちょうど4周年となるその節目にリリースされる今作には、4年経って初めて見える新たな世界、新たな幕開けとなる最初の問題提起という意味も含めており、様々な思惑が詰め込まれた非常に深い内容のCDとなってる。そんな焔の新たなステージへの決意表明とも取れる曲「-再生-」は一曲目に収録。 2曲目はCDのタイトルでもある「オレンジ」。 前作「環情線」で示した「答え」によって、その犠牲となって欠けてしまった多くの色、その中でただ一つ残った「オレンジ」の色は「焔」のバンドカラーでもあるため、自分達のバンドを色に置き換えた形としても描かれている。3曲目には、かつて焔がデモCDとしてもリリースしたことのある「ともしび」を収録。「焔」というイメージを元に名付けられたこの曲を再び音源化することによって、彼らの「再生」する姿も連想することができる。 それぞれが個々に独立した曲となっているが、こうした曲と曲との絡み合いや前作から続いているストーリー性なども、このCDの一つの魅力となっている。」
