Amazing... 5

This is a fantastic soundtrack. Not only does it appeal to fans of the anime, but in in my opinion, can appeal to anyone who wants to listen to something different. It's very original, beautifully arranged, and a fantastic listen.

For the first time it's released the entire soundtrack of this anime with this great box!I like the music and i like the cover of every each of three discs!The box is particular about the colours:it's seams glitter!!

This compilation contains every piece of background music that Shunsuke Kikuchi scored for every Dragon Ball Z Episode and Theatrical Release. The style of this music could best be described as one third Godzilla , one third classically inspired, and one third Theatre for the Absurd. Its a very original dynamic compilation! I especially enjoyed listening to the background themes that were composed for Majin Buu.

I look forward to a companion soundtrack to be released that will contain all of the music to the original Dragon Ball as well!

Great, But Not Enough Piccolo! 4

This set is a fantastic value, especially if you don't already own the previously released DB/Z five-disc set. Most all the DBZ bgm from that set is present here, along with many musical cues from the later movies which have never seen a CD release.

My personal highlights are the Cha La Head Cha La, We Gotta Power, and Angels variations tracks, which are all contain multiple fun bgm renditions of those theme songs.

My one gripe with this set is the lack of new Piccolo themes. Piccolo's dramatic theme is among the most dynamic in all of Dragonball, but we're only presented with one previously unreleased version of it here (though it's a good one). Where's the "circus" variation from movie 4, or any of the little jingle versions that play when he inevitably arrives to save Gohan's life in most movies? Sadly, since I love this theme so much, I must knock 1 point of my rating because of this.

However, we did get a couple new versions of Vegeta's theme, and since the above complaint is the only one I have about this set, I must highly recommend it to all fans of Shunsuke Kikuchi's DBZ music.

Now if only they'd release a similar set for the original Dragonball, I'd be a happy listener.

Pratiquement TOUTES les musiques de la serie, ou plutot des 13 films (celles de la serie etant peu nombreuses et inedites jusqu'a la sortie de ce CD box a ma connaissance) sont sur ce triple album. On mesure le talent du compositeur Shunsuke Kikuchi, tres talentueux pour les morceaux d'actions et pour faire passer une lourde ambiance, a la tension impressionante:
les musiques qui ont servi pour la periode Nameck sont particulierement remarquables. Les versions courtes des generiques de fin des films sont meme presentes ! UN MUST

DVD

There are 6 region codes. Typically, DVD players sold in one region is compatible only with DVD titles that are encoded for that region.

HD DVD

HD DVDs titles are playable only on HD DVD players. They are not playalbe on conventional DVD players or Blu-ray players. On the other hand, Twin Format disc has a layer that is playable also on conventional DVD players. Such titles are indicated as "Format: HD DVD Twin Format" in item details page. *We'll add accurate information on regional encoding as they become available, but for the time-being, please assume that HD DVD titles available at CDJapan are encoded for Region-2.

Blu-ray

Blu-ray titles are playable only on Blu-ray players. They are not playable on conventional DVD players or HD DVD players. There are 3 region codes for Blu-rays as listed below, which are different from DVD region codes.

*So far, most of the Blu-ray discs released in Japan are region-free.

DVD-Audio

DVD-Audios are playable only on DVD-Audio players and DVD players that are compatible with DVD-Audios (to find out for sure, consult the manual of your DVD player, or look for DVD-Audio logo). DVD-Audios are not playable on regular DVD players or CD players.

SACD (Super Audio CD)

SACDs are playable only on SACD players, and will not play on regular CD players. On the other hand, SACD Hybrid disc has a layer that is playable also on regular CD payers. Such titles are indicated as "Format: SACD-Hybrid" in item details page.

While this icon is displayed, dimensional weight applies to cover the extra postage required for sending the first press bonus poster for free.

CDJapan does not charge anything extra for first press bonus posters themselves, but sending them requires larger packaging materials causing the package weight to increase, especially as FedEx applies dimensional weight.
