VAN hALEN IIIVan HalenVH3 Remastered, but still not masterful
The good news is that this release IS remastered, the bad news is that you can barely tell. The Good: The sound is clearer and crisper. The Volume is up. Drums and Bass are more present, dynamic, and noticable on some tracks, but not so much on others. The overall quality sounds slightly more "finished" than the current US release. Unfortunately, that's where the good ends. The bad begins with the fact that the infamous BUZZ heard underneath several tracks is STILL there. Either the person who did the remastering didn't know it was there, or they did not have access to the original mixes to take it out. Either way, its STILL noticable, and STILL annoying as @$#&!! Another let-down is the fact that "That's Why I Love You" is NOT on the disc. (I thought it might be since Crossing Over is on the Japanese release of Balance). Unlike most VH fans, I really like this album. I just wish it sounded better. That is the only reason it got a 4 instead of a 5. Hopefully, Ed will remix this album properly & give it the finished sound that it deserves. Until then, this provides a slight improvement on the sound of the US release, but still fails to measure up to the sound of VH's other albums.

5150Van HalenVan Hagar Remastered
The Van Hagar remasters are here!! Even though nothing on this release states or indicates that it is remastered, it definitely is. Summer Nights and "5150" never sounded so good. Truly worth every penny!

BALANCEVan HalenVan Hagar Remastered
The Van Hagar remasters are here!! Even though nothing on this release states or indicates that it is remastered, it definitely is. This album was nearly perfect already. This remaster sound crisper and cleaner. Somehow, however, this took away from some of the album's "heavy" sound. Even so, the inclusion of the truly amazing "Crossing Over" makes this worth every penny!
