Neon Genesis Evangelion TV Series DVD Box (Archives Of Evangelion) [Limited Pressing]AnimationArchival in HDEffectively replaces the '97/'99 Jewel DVDs, especially so when contrasting movie (D&R). For a fan, or for that matter, a video enthusiast, box is every-bit enjoyable as Renewal.

Macross FlashBack 2012AnimationThat jacket...While not having seen the original disc, it's safe to assume picture remains as is. That being said, image is nothing short of pristine, and offers hyper detail, albeit Windowboxed. Sleeve (& disc) though... considering its second coming, you'd be correct in assuming HD Remaster. Unquestionably on par with DYRL?'s renewal.

BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!! Fist Part: Spring Sunshine, Lost Cat (Theatrical Feature) (Multiple Subtitles Available: English, Korean, and Chinese)AnimationGood movie, dissapointing practicesThis movie was good, its a recap of the first 7 episodes of the show with around 24 minutes of new content, but as well some crucial moments were cut. On to my main issue which is that of the "pre order" bonus of a cd and a box for the movies, which I did not revice and I didn't expect to. I find it really dissapointing that the window to recive it was little over 2 weeks from the launch of the pre orders out of the 3 and a half months the pre order was available. I feel like the box should of been just a general bonus when you bought the 2 movies together, and the cd should of been included in the first press bonus if you bought both of the movies. I personally find it scummy that this company locks away things that are the standard with movie releases from other companies behind 2.5 week pre order windows while making them more expensive too, 8000 yen for a single recap movie thats little under 2 hours long as well having no bonus content, even on the actual disk is ridiculous. As much as I love this series this release feels like a spit to the face of the actual fans that buy this stuff. The same goes for the 2nd movie too.

Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket (Subtitles: English, Chinese) / U.C.Gundam Blu-ray Library SeriesAnimationAmazing blu-ray for an amazing OVAWhile War in the Pocket is not one of my favorite Gundam series', I nevertheless bought this Blu-ray. Needless to say, the sound and video quality is impeccable. The story itself is a very unique perspective of the 1 Year War and on war itself as a phenomenon. The U.C. Libraries are amazing and War in the Pocket is one of the best blu-rays (anime) I have seen thus far. Outstanding release, worth every yen.

Kimi no Na wa. (Your Name.) w/ English & Chinese Subtitles [Collector's Edition] 5 Disc Set incl. 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray [Limited Release]AnimationUltimate "Your Name." Experience? AlmostThis Collector's Edition for Makoto Shinkai's record-shattering masterpiece, "Kimi no Na wa. (Your Name.)", is a visually stunning love letter to fans, though its bonus features demand Japanese fluency. The inclusion of the film itself on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray is the undeniable highlight. Witnessing Shinkai's breathtaking animation – the shimmering comet trails, the intricate details of Tokyo and Itomori, the play of light and water – in stunning 3840x2160 resolution with HDR is transformative. It elevates an already visually spectacular film to new heights. The emotional core, the captivating body-swap/time-travel romance between Mitsuha and Taki, remains as potent as ever, masterfully woven and beautifully scored by RADWIMPS. Both the 4K UHD and standard Blu-ray discs include essential English and Chinese subtitles, ensuring the main feature is accessible to a wide audience. Note: A dedicated 4K UHD player and ideally an HDR-compatible 4K TV are required to unlock this disc's full potential. The packaging is exquisite. The specially designed digipak, crafted by Shinkai himself alongside animation director Masayoshi Tanaka and background designer Akiko Majima, is a work of art worthy of display. The included 100-page book, script book, and stickers significantly enhance the collector's value, offering tangible, high-quality mementos for devoted fans. Crucially, NONE of the substantial content on these three bonus discs includes subtitles of any kind, not even Japanese. As highlighted by a previous reviewer, this severely limits accessibility for international fans who don't speak Japanese. While the main film is fully subtitled, the wealth of behind-the-scenes insights, commentaries, and special features remain locked behind the language barrier. This is a major omission for a "Collector's Edition" marketed internationally and significantly diminishes the value of these discs for non-Japanese speakers. Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars(Docked one star solely for the missing bonus subtitles). A breathtaking presentation of the film and beautiful physical package, ultimately hampered by the inaccessibility of its otherwise excellent bonus features for the global audience.

SK8 EXTRA PART (OVA) [Limited Release]AnimationFun!What a wonderful OVA! The quality of animation, writing, performance...every aspect, really, of these three (four?) short stories hardly felt like a mere 24 minutes. I was transported straight back to the fun and joy of the original series; I could watch this over and over again. Staff commentary also came as a welcome delight. An extra part definitely worthy of one's time, methinks.

BROTHERHOOD FINAL FANTASY XV (English Subtitles)AnimationA great addition to the FFXV experienceThis short anime series is a must-watch for any fans of Final Fantasy XV. It provides a lot of background information about the characters which was only hinted at in the main game. Each episode focuses on the life of one of the party members prior to the start of the FFXV story, and helps you to understand more about their motivations and their relationships with each other. The character designs are done well, and the soundtrack from the game is used, so it’s an experience which fits right in with the feeling of playing the game. I think anyone who loves Noctis, Gladio, Prompto, and Ignis will be glad that they watched this, and I highly recommend it.
