coldrain - Live & Backstage at Blare Fest.2020 [Regular Edition]

If you have found yourself listening to more of the Japanese loud rock scene from bands like coldrain, SiM, One OK Rock and others, this is absolutely a must-have. Unless you've seen the Space Shower TV special on the festival, all of the near-2 hours of backstage video will be completely new, not to mention both of coldrain's sets from the two-day event in full. As a warning, there are NOT any subtitles. It didn't bother me, as just seeing the interactions my favourite bands had with each other was more than enough, but if the language barrier is an issue for you this probably isn't a great investment unless you are a coldrain fan and want to see their performance. I would've liked to see some of the other bands' performances (Crossfaith's cover of Faint with Masato and some of the Pay money To my Pain set, most notably) but on the whole, this was something like nothing I've ever seen before. The sheer number and quality of the bands at Blare Fest was a true All-Star lineup and if you can't go to a festival like this in Japan, I would say this is the closest that you can get to replicating that experience.
