recorded in california.how the west eas won is a brilliant and essential audio complement to the dvd. the materialon the 3 cds has been culled from two legendary live performances by led zeppelin.the los angeles forum and long beach arena in june,1972.melded together and sequenced to replicated a single concert from beginning to end,it captures the band at the height of their formidable powers.among the highlights are a 25-plus minute version of'dazed and confused',a 23-minute medley based around' whole lotta love' and such classics as 'stairway to heaven' and 'rock and roll'. this is live rock and roll music as it had never been heard beafire and may never be again.
