They had no children and were about to start a new "family" when they adopted Rina, a girl they met at an orphanage. However... Aki takes her own life. Takanashi, who was supposed to be happy with his "family," dies for no apparent reason...Takanashi throws everything away and becomes desperate in his grief over the loss of Aki.
