太平洋戦争から67年、いまだ知られざる悲劇があった。供出の主たる目的は、戦地の寒さ対策としての毛皮の調達。銃後の守りにつく人々が迫られた逆らいようのない究極の選択・・・戦時中の実話をもとに描いたセミドキュメンタリードラマ。 2011年8月に「金曜スーパープライム」枠にて放送され多くの話題を呼んだSPドラマのDVD化! 西島秀俊をはじめ、檀れい、荒川ちか、平田満、内藤剛志、須賀健太ら実力派キャストが共演!! 昭和17年、戦時下の東京。縫箔屋を営む松倉 (西島秀俊)と静子 (檀れい)の娘、さよ子 (荒川ちか)は、アルフという名のシェパードをかわいがっていた。足が不自由で自らが徴兵されないことを負い目に感じる松倉は、アルフに軍用犬の訓練を受けさせていた。そんな中、アルフに出征命令が来る。日本軍は一般家庭の飼い犬をも訓練後に戦場へ送り、その数は10万頭にも及んだ。さよ子は父に説得されて、悲しみに暮れながらアルフを戦場へ送り出す。その後、店の職人・永井 (和田聰宏)が、落ち込むさよ子を気遣って雑種の子犬を松倉家に連れてくる。さよ子は大喜びし、東亜と名付けてかわいがる。しかし、戦況が悪化。軍用犬にならない飼い犬に対しても供出命令が出て、東亜が連れて行かれることになり・・・。
