A nostalgic trip to the past 4

There is a lot of difference between the songs in this album and the original 1980s versions. For starters, a variety of styles are used to remix the old Minmay songs. Songs that are familiar to Macross fans sound foreign here. Whereas she used to sound energetic and lively, Ms Iijima's voice here has become mellow, and has an air of maturity to it. The listener will thus have the feeling that Lynn Minmay has truly grown up. Mari Iijima comes up with funky versions of 0-G Love and Watashi no Kare wa Pilot which may sound somewhat strange to fans. It will take a few listens to get used to them. Cinderalla, Ai wa Nagareru and Tenshi no Enogu, are beautiful, slower renditions of the original versions. The last track Why is an original ballad. The highlight of this album is the piano version of Ai Oboete Imasu Ka, the most famous and popular Minmay song of all. Slower, but shorter than the original, this is easily the best song on this album. The downside to this album is that there are too few songs, clocking in at a total of merely approximately 30 minutes, consisting of only 7 tracks. However, due to its nostalgic value, this album is definitely worth the buy for Macross fans.
