I believe this record came out about the time of the first solo McCartney album. The review in Rolling Stone called it the best McCartney album of the year (or something like that) . That's pretty much on the money...there's not a song on here that Paul wouldn't be happy to have written. Not that the album doesn't stand on it's own, this is not an early Rutles album. But, he does love Paul and it shows. Not a bad thing if you like melodic well crafted pop music.
