The orchestration on this title can be distracting (over the top Hollywood style over production) but Wes plays so good I listen anyway. Wes Montgomery didn't need no stink'n orchestra! Don't really know why they did this. Maybe to broaden the audience? In any case this could have been a much better album but musically we're stuck with what we have. I have owned this title on original vinyl, CD and gold CD. The sound quality of the SHM version is excellent and I recommend it to any Wes Montgomery fan.
