The original novel by Shintaro Ishihara, who is said to have drawn the main character in the image of Akira Takarada, is adapted by Zenzo Matsuyama. In this unique romantic comedy, a high school student from a traditional school, a bar madam (Niiju Michiyo), a fashion designer (Kusabue Mitsuko), and a nightclub show dancer (Kita Akemi) spark off a love affair over the title of champion.
