Description

Actor Daisuke Kato's experiences during the Pacific War are made into a film. A moving war story. Japanese soldiers deployed to Manokwari, New Guinea, were in danger of being wiped out due to a supply shortage. A theater squad is formed and a handmade theater is built to inspire the war effort. However, the war is not going well, and performances continue even as the enemy air raids intensify... This film is based on the war experience of Kato Daisuke, a famous actor who appeared in "The Seven Samurai" and "Daiban". This is a human drama about soldiers who scattered to foreign lands while thinking of their hometowns.
