スローダウン・レコーズによるメルツバウ・アーカイブ・シリーズは第8弾がスタート! 今回のシリーズではメルツバウがアナログ機材による創作を止め、コンピューターでの制作に踏み出した1999年の録音がリリースされる。本作『Tenshinkaku』にはもともと同タイトルでのアルバムリリースを念頭に録音されたものの未発表となっていた音源を収録。この音源は抜粋版が2005年の『Scene』(Waystyx)のスペシャル・エディションのボーナスCD『Early Computer Works』に収録されているものの、完全なかたちでのリリースは今回が初。6曲目には『抜刀隊』収録の「This Dying Toad Become Forth With Coal For Colour Black」を素材としたトラックが収録されている。
